The number 4 refers to the number of times the waterproof membrane has been layered. PU coating is a processing technique where polyurethane resin is thinly spread on the inside of the fabric to prevent water droplets from seeping between the threads. By repeatedly applying a thin waterproof membrane four times, it achieves basic everyday water resistance to block sudden rain or snow.

The outer material is Nappa lambskin, and the lining is Cow Leather. While the inside of a bag is often lined with fabric, the LANIÈRE 07 BACKPACK uses genuine leather for both the exterior and interior, finishing it with different types of leather inside and out.

Generally, Cordura is a functional nylon fabric resistant to friction and tearing to the extent that it is widely used in military gear and outdoor bags. Being tougher than ordinary fibers, its threads do not easily unravel even when rubbed against rough surfaces or scratched by corners.
