What role does the shearling double collar around the neck of the N3B parka serve?
When wearing a winter coat, I don't always put the hood over my head, so I often worry that cold wind will leak down the back of my neck. I am asking because I wonder if it sufficiently protects the neck even when the hood is down.
Even without wearing the hood over your head, it cozily wraps around your neck, helping to block cold winds and retain warmth.
The outside is nylon that blocks cold wind, and the inside of the collar is thick shearling[1][2]. EASTLOGUE added a double collar made of shearling so that it completely wraps around the neck even when the hood is not pulled over the head[3]. Even if the hood is pushed back, the nape of the neck is not left cold and exposed[4].
Generally, shearling has the property of retaining a rich layer of air between its curly hairs, blocking outside cold and trapping body heat. This parka uses 100% nylon for the shell and the first lining, and 100% cotton for the second lining[5]. It is a combination designed to block cold air from the outside while also ensuring comfortable texture where it touches the skin.
