The fabric surface is uniform and has a subtle sheen. It is not stiff, and features a prominent drape that falls naturally downward along body curves.
Use
A standalone 100% fabric is used for slip dresses, blouses, and shirts. It is blended with cotton, wool, nylon, and others to be used as fabric for various everyday wear, such as pants, knits, and innerwear.
When choosing
When listed on labels, it may also be indicated with the generic name 'Lyocell' instead of the brand name 'Tencel', so check the blend ratio together. The degree of wrinkling and the texture vary depending on the blend ratio.
Care
During water washing, shrinkage or fibrillation—where surface fuzz rises—can occur, so cold water washing or dry cleaning is recommended. Since it is relatively weak against friction, use a laundry net and do not wring it dry.
