A dyeing technique that creates a subtle faded effect by adhering pigments to the fiber surface and washing them out
A technique that colors fiber surfaces using insoluble pigments (Pigment) and binders instead of standard water-soluble dyes. Because the dye does not penetrate the interior of the fibers and only binds to the surface, post-processing washing produces natural fading and a vintage color tone, predominantly along high-friction edges and seams.

A subtle, faded tone appears across the entire fabric, as if the saturation has been lowered by a notch. Areas along seams subject to frequent friction, such as seams, hems, and necklines, fade more lightly, highlighting a three-dimensional contrast.
Use
It is widely used mainly for casual Cotton garments such as T-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, and ball caps. It is frequently applied via garment dyeing, in which dyeing and washing are carried out in batches after sewing into finished products.
Care
Due to the nature of pigments adhering to the surface, the color can easily rub off or wash out through friction and laundering. For the first few washes, it must be washed separately in cold water, and care should be taken regarding friction with light-colored clothing or bags.

- Reactive dyeing
- A standard penetration dyeing method where dye chemically bonds with fiber molecules, resulting in almost no fading even after washing.
