Can the OT1 Ottoman be used as a standalone piece without a lounge chair?

This question seeks to gauge its usability—whether the ottoman must only be used as a footrest, or if it can be placed as an independent seat in a living room or study.

It can be paired with a lounge chair as a rest to prop up your feet, or used as an independent seat by placing it alone like a stool.

Beside a chair, it becomes a footrest, and when placed alone, it becomes a complete chair[1]. TXTR incorporated the distinctive shape and stable seating comfort of designer Jean Prouvé's lounge chair, the Fauteuil de salon, into the OT1[2].

It has a generous surface area. Measuring 630mm in width, 670mm in depth, and 380mm in height, the wide top surface is sufficient to be used as an independent seat beyond just an auxiliary stool[3]. In general, a seat height of around 380mm is similar to that of a low armchair, keeping your knees comfortable even when sitting on it alone.

The supporting frame is also sturdy. The lower frame is made of polished stainless steel for added stability, and the cover is finished in fabric and artificial leather materials[4]. In addition to being paired with a lounge chair to stretch out your legs, it naturally blends in as a single-person chair placed on its own in a living room or corner of a room[5].
