POSTALCOPO-9

How is the 'pivot sleeve' mentioned in the description different from regular sleeves?

While looking through the outerwear description, I came across the unfamiliar term 'pivot sleeve.' I would like to know how it differs from regular jacket sleeves and in what ways it is comfortable.

It is a three-dimensional sleeve structure designed with extra room under the armpits so that the hem of the garment does not pull up along with it even when lifting arms high.

When wearing clothes and lifting your arms up high, it is common for the entire hem of the jacket to be pulled straight up. To relieve this hitch, POSTALCO eliminated the shoulder seam and adopted pivot sleeves[1].

It is simple. The pivot sleeve is a patterning method that widens the room for movement by adding gusset fabric under the armpits or three-dimensionally joining the inner sleeve to the main body. Ordinary sleeves have the armhole and main body locked together, so when reaching an arm upward, the entire garment hem is dragged up with it. In contrast, with a pivot sleeve, the armpit area unfolds like a fan, allowing the arm to move freely without pulling on the body of the garment. Since there is no seam running across the top of the shoulder, there is also less pressing pressure from seams when carrying a bag.

Thanks to this structure that flexibly expands according to movement, the fit was designed so that a wide range of body types, from women's size M to men's size L, can wear it comfortably[2].

The shape of the gusset inserted into the pivot sleeve and the detailed pattern dimensions have not yet been confirmed in official materials.
