Why are volume (L) and plum weight listed together in the capacity indication?

While looking at the detailed description of the enamel tank, it caught my attention that plum weight was listed separately next to the liter unit. It was difficult to judge which size to choose when making syrup or pastes.

It is a standard to help you immediately estimate the volume of ingredients for syrups or pickling—which is hard to grasp with only liter (L) units—in line with the grocery shopping weight units.

Weight is listed together starting from 4.5L[1]. For the NODA HORO enamel tank, only volume is indicated for the 14cm (2L) and 16cm (3L) sizes, but 1~2kg of plums is listed side-by-side for the 18cm (4.5L) option, and 2~3kg of plums for the 21cm (7L) option[2]. Since fruit pulp and vegetables are usually purchased in kilogram (kg) units when grocery shopping, this addresses the difficulty of estimating how much ingredient will fit into the container based solely on liquid volume (L).

This leads directly to actual pickling and preserving. When making plum syrup or fermented extracts, fruit pulp and sugar are usually filled in a one-to-one ratio, so space close to 2 times the weight of the fruit is needed. If you put 1kg of plums and 1kg of sugar into the 18cm size, it fills with around 2kg of contents, leaving the extra space necessary for fermentation. Enamel, the material of this product, is resistant to acid and salt, making it suitable for storing fermented foods like syrups or pickles for long periods[3]. Equipped with a lid and handle, moving or keeping the heavily filled container closed is also smooth[4].

hmmm, it is close to a thoughtful guide calculated all the way to the moment you transfer the ingredients brought in your shopping basket into kitchen containers.

The specific reason why the plum reference weight is not listed for the 14cm and 16cm sizes has not yet been confirmed in official materials.
