The name says belt, but is it only worn around the waist?

Because "belt" is in the product name, it is easy to pass it off as just a waist accessory. You need to know how it is actually worn to decide whether to buy it.

[30%] layered knit belt (ash blue)
[30%] layered knit belt (ivory)
hmmm editorial answer

Although the name is belt, it is worn in various ways, such as wrapping it around the waist like a skirt or layering it over a top.

Looking only at the name, layered knit belt seems like an item to cinch the waist, but in reality, it is closer to a garment where you choose at what height on the body to place it.

If you lower it, it is wrapped around the waist and worn like a short skirt, and if you raise it, it becomes a layer worn over a top[1]. Although it is the same item, depending on where it is placed, it can be read as bottoms or as a top. Ivory is a color that reveals a natural surface texture and a weave that looks as if it has been worn for a long time[2].

If you choose to wear it layered, there is one more matching item. It uses the same yarn as paper sleeveless and was made to be worn together[3]. Generally, two garments using the same yarn share a continuous surface grain and tone, making them look more like a single set than layering clothes bought separately.

hmmm, so when choosing this product, what to decide first might be the position rather than the size — if you plan to wear it around your waist, you will think first of the bottoms to wear with it, and if you plan to layer it on top, you will think first of the top to wear underneath.
