Is it okay to wash vegetables or put food ingredients directly in the water dipper?

Galvanized sheet iron, listed as the product material, refers to a sheet material where zinc is coated on the surface of a thin iron plate to prevent corrosion. The MATSUNOYA [마츠노야] 워터디퍼 uses this galvanized material, making it resistant to corrosion from everyday moisture and dampness^[1][2]. Generally, galvanized sheet materials are not recommended as containers in direct contact with food because they can react with acids or salt, damaging the coating film. Brand official guidelines also prohibit actions where food ingredients directly touch the surface, defining it as use outside its intended purpose^[3].

Even though it has undergone corrosion-resistant plating, leaving it outdoors exposed to wind and rain for a long time may cause the surface to darken or rust^[4]. After scooping and using water in daily life, such as for cleaning or plant care, maintenance is needed to empty any pooled moisture and dry it indoors.

hmmm, even if its shape is a familiar scoop design, you can use it for a long time according to its original purpose when using it as a household tool to scoop water for cleaning or gardening tasks, rather than as a kitchen vessel for handling food ingredients.
