How do I decide between Basic and Wide for the sofa?
When the same sofa is split into two sizes, it is difficult to get a sense of which one fits one's home just by looking at the dimensions. This is a point where a criteria for choosing is needed.
For the Concord Sofa fabric, the guideline is divided into Basic for homes in the early-to-mid 20-pyeong range, and Wide for the late 20-pyeong to early 30-pyeong range.
Starting with the square footage, Concord Sofa Fabric Basic is configured with early-to-mid 20-pyeong spaces in mind, and Wide with living rooms in the late 20-pyeong to early 30-pyeong range[1]. This means that when hesitating between the two sizes, what to look at first is not the length of the sofa, but the size of the home where the sofa will be placed.
However, because pyeong indicates the size of the entire home, when actually choosing, it is more reliable to directly measure the length of the wall where the sofa will be placed. Generally, one leaves a little margin to the left and right of the wall length, secures a pathway for people to pass in front of the sofa, and then decides on the size according to the remaining width. Even within the same 20-pyeong range, the result differs between homes with long living rooms and homes that are closer to square.
Once the size is decided, one more crossroads remains. The internal filling material is divided into two levels, Soft and Medium Soft[2], and among these, Soft is the side where wrinkles naturally form on the cushion before and after sitting[3].
hmmm, the square footage guideline is closer to deciding how much margin to leave in the living room even after placing the sofa, rather than deciding how large a sofa to bring in.

The actual width and depth dimensions of Basic and Wide have not yet been confirmed.
