This is a single-sheet card printed in reddish-gold ink by manually setting lead types and symbols. The marks pressed directly into the paper and subtle bleeds give each card a distinct surface. It is used to tape to a wall or prop up on a small stand to fill the space by a desk.

Why this product

We chose it because the marks of letterpress printing—typeset and pressed by hand—remain on the paper.

  1. A form composed of types and symbols

Vintage lead movable types, rules, and symbols are assembled by hand to compose the form, which is then printed sheet by sheet.

  2. Depressions and bleeding varying with each sheet

The surface texture differs subtly from card to card depending on the plate's pressure against the paper and variations in how the ink settles.

  3. Single-sheet composition in reddish-gold ink

Reddish-gold ink is applied to a single card measuring 75mm wide and 130mm long.
