What you can ask, and what we answer
This is a place to ask about products
hmmm answers questions about products using facts confirmed in materials released by brands. Things needed when choosing what to buy — materials, dimensions, care instructions, and what they are good for — are the scope of our answers.
We do not sell products. When you find a product you like, you are directed to the brand's official store or retailer. Therefore, we know nothing about orders and shipping.
How you can ask
If you include criteria together, we can narrow down the answers accordingly.
- Items you are looking for — what you are searching for, like "light coat" or "linen shirt"
- Use and situation — "for commuting", "for in-between seasons", "as a gift"
- Conditions — material, color, price range, fit. Even after receiving an answer, you can continue narrowing down by tapping pills or typing conditions
- Facts about products — things written in sources, such as "can this fabric be machine washed?"
You do not have to write everything at once. It is usually faster to check the answer and narrow down from there.
Things we cannot answer
If a question falls into the cases below, a brief notice appears instead of an answer. Here is the exact wording that appears on the screen.
- Please check the brand's official store for orders, shipping, and exchanges.
- Post-purchase matters such as orders, shipping, exchanges, and refunds — We do not sell products and therefore do not have those records.
- We cover Living, but currently only support Fashion·Living.
- Categories not handled on this screen right now — There are categories we cover, such as living, that are not yet open on this screen.
- We can only answer questions about brand products.
- Topics unrelated to products — Matters outside products—such as weather, current events, or personal consultations—are not for us to answer.
- We cannot provide an answer to that.
- Harsh language — We do not respond back and keep it short.
For anything else not found in sources, we do not invent answers and state "Could not confirm." Not pretending to know what we do not know is everything this service stands for.
How answers are built
Sentences in answers are grounded in official sources published by brands. We also show how we interpreted the question ("How we read this")—if we misunderstood, you can clarify by rewriting the conditions.
Product cards are labeled with the nature of the source. This is because statements confirmed in brand official sources, statements from retailer sources, and statements mixed with marked general knowledge are all distinct.
Answer labels
- Based on official sources
- Answers fully confirmed in brand official sources.
- Based on retailer sources
- Answers where the sources are fully confirmed, but the sources were written by a retailer.
- hmmm editorial answer
- Includes marked general knowledge or our own perspective.
Prices and inventory may change. Please check the brand's official store or retailer before purchasing.
Up to five times per conversation
You can ask up to 5 times in a single conversation. Once used up, you can start a new conversation with "Ask a new question"—the previous conversation remains on screen.
If you ask too many questions in a short period, a message asking you to take a brief pause will appear. This is because each answer draws from resources shared among multiple people.
There are times when we cannot provide answers due to maintenance. During those times, the input field will be locked and a notice will be displayed.
Please do not include
- Personal information such as name, contact information, address, or order number—we cannot process it, and this is not the place to leave it.
- Abusive language or discriminatory expressions directed at others.
- Directly copied text or photos from others.
Questions are used solely as material to create subsequent questions; visitors' conversations are not displayed on screen.
If something is incorrect
Even after publishing, if an error is found, we correct or take it down. If a brand withdraws its materials, the answers created from those materials are also removed.
If you see an incorrect answer, please let us know. A single line pointing out what is wrong is enough.
