What role does the "luminescent thread" embroidery in the description play?

I saw in the pants description that the embroidered part was changed to luminescent thread so that it glows at night. I was wondering what practical purpose this detail serves, since it looks like white embroidery during the day but glows at night.

hmmm editorial answer

It looks like ordinary white embroidery during the day, but in the dark, it glows on its own to reveal the wearer's position during nighttime activities.
