What role do the vintage bird illustrations and avian information, which were not in the original book, play in the Korean edition?

While browsing through the bird song score book transcribed by a musician, I saw a note stating that bird illustrations and information not in the original book were added, and I wanted to know what purpose this visual material serves in the book.

야생 숲의 노트
