Do you have any rayon knits?

I’ve picked three knits from our shelves that feature rayon for a soft, fluid drape: airy round knit (navy) by Moia, Isar Knit in Black Stripe by MOONDAL, and 루즈핏 레이어드 니트 BLACK by INSILENCE. Rayon has a cool, flowing grain that doesn't cling to the body, creating an even sleeker silhouette when paired with a neat knit weave.

Rayon was the first man-made fiber, crafted from wood pulp in past Europe to replace the costly natural silk of the nobility. This yarn, spun by dissolving wood cellulose in an alkaline solution, radiated a silk-like smooth sheen and earned a name meaning 'shining beam of light.' It has a history of bringing elegance to everyday wardrobes, becoming widely known by the familiar name of artificial silk.

Among these three, would you like to see a boatneck design that neatly covers the collarbone, look for a lightweight vest or sleeveless knit, or narrow them down to under KRW 100,000 first?

↳ In a boatneck design

There are no boatneck designs on the list right now. Instead, I've selected Moia's airy round knit by color, which opens naturally to the sides at the neckline to softly reveal the collarbones. There are three colors: navy, beige, and ivory. It’s loosely and thinly knit, giving a silhouette that falls light as air without clinging to the body.

In the Shetland Islands northeast of Scotland, there is a legendary ultra-lightweight knit piece called the 'wedding ring shawl,' which measures 2m on all sides when unfolded yet passes completely through a single wedding ring. Local artisans spun web-like yarn selected only from the neck wool of native sheep that withstood harsh sea winds, and weighing barely around 100g, it was prized as a rare luxury among nobles during Queen Victoria's reign. Whenever I see light, delicate knit fabrics, the feel of that shawl slipping through a ring naturally comes to mind.

Among the three colors saved on the list, neat ivory seems like the one you might reach for first. Shall we take a closer look at ivory, or flip through the list toward other necklines like a V-neck or cowl neck?

↳ I'd like to see ivory

I've picked Moia's airy round knit in ivory. It's a light, loosely knit round-neck top with an easy fit that works well worn alone or layered over a shirt.

Ivory originally referred to elephant tusks. As billiards became popular in 19th-century America and ivory became scarce, one manufacturer offered a large bounty to crowdsource an alternative material. The inventor John Wesley Hyatt mixed camphor with nitrate-treated cellulose to create celluloid, the first plastic. Although it couldn't become the standard for billiard balls due to the danger of exploding upon impact, it opened a new era when used for buttons and film.

Fortunately, the ivory in our wardrobes carries no risk of explosion—only the soft hue of gentle sunlight remains. Shall we check the detailed measurements first to see the body width and sleeve length, or take a look at the washing instructions so you can wear it for a long time?
