I'm looking for a neat, clean H-line pencil skirt to wear at work.

Here are skirts in straight and pencil silhouettes that are great to wear neatly for work. The LOW CLASSIC product has a neat line in a clean midi length, and the AMOMENTO product features a subtle floral pattern and pockets on a slim pencil silhouette. All three fall neatly, making them well-suited for the occasion you mentioned.

↳ View solid patterns only

Leaving out patterns like checks and florals, I have gathered only the neat, solid-colored straight-fit skirts you mentioned. With a charcoal low-rise midi skirt and a black pocket skirt in crisp cotton fabric, both feature clean silhouettes. Items with strong decorative details like pleats or lace were excluded from the candidates.

↳ In black only

I narrowed it down to skirts in a solid black color without patterns that fall in a neat straight silhouette. Both the midi skirt in washed cotton fabric and the classic H-line skirt in a wool blend fabric are great to wear cleanly and neatly for work. Items with pleats, lace, or jacquard patterns were excluded because they do not fit the neat, basic fit.

↳ View wool materials only

Among the patternless black options, I narrowed it down to skirts containing wool. The one that matches the neat, falling H-line pencil silhouette is one mid-length skirt in a wool blend fabric, and other wool skirts with pleats along the side seam or flaring out in an A-line or mini length were excluded from the candidates because they do not meet the neat H-line condition for work.

↳ View mini lengths too

Under the solid black wool material condition, I broadened the range to include mini lengths. Three wool mini skirts from LOW CLASSIC have been added, consisting of an A-line mini in high-density worsted wool fabric, a belted mini with back belt loop details, and a pleated knit mini. You can also view the existing mid-length classic H-line skirt together for a neat work look.
