How do the inner page layouts differ between the two types of weekly free diary refills for Traveler's notebook Original?

One divides time vertically, while the other places a generous grid memo next to the schedule. Both types of Original diary refills from TRAVELER'S COMPANY do not have dates pre-printed, so they can be used starting from any desired point in time^[1][2], and they are identical in that they both contain 64 pages, which is 28 weeks' worth, or about 6 months^[3][4]. However, the roles of the layouts you face when opening the inner pages are completely different.

Weekly Free Vertical Diary has a week's schedule on one page, with each date section divided vertically by time slots^[5]. Visualizing the flow of time up and down makes it easy to grasp gaps in a day's schedule. On the other hand, Weekly Free+memo Diary features a one-week schedule on the left page of a spread and 4x4mm grid paper on the right page^[6]. The consistent grid pattern is widely used for aligning writing or sketching.

This means that if you need to tightly manage time-slotted appointments and deadlines, you should choose the vertical type, and if you want to record meeting notes or receipt memos broadly alongside a week's key schedule, you should choose the memo-combined type.
