Can the dish drying rack's size be adjusted and used depending on the amount of dishes or cooking space?

It starts at 21.5cm. With the lower compartment normally pushed in, the SHIMOMURA expandable dish drying rack can be used as a compact single compartment with a vertical width of 21.5cm^[1][2]. When the kitchen countertop is narrow, you can minimize the drying rack area to secure cooking space for preparing food ingredients first.

It expands. On days when a lot of dishes come out at once to wash, you can pull forward the lower compartment hidden underneath to expand it into a 2-compartment structure with a vertical width of up to 37cm^[3][4]. The main body horizontal length is 50cm and the height is 17cm, and the inner basket depth has a step difference with 6cm in the front and 10cm in the back^[5]. In the deeper back section, you can lean and stand large pots or plates that tip over easily, and on the lower-rimmed expandable compartment, it is suitable for dividing space by placing water cups or rice bowls for easy retrieval.

hmmm, this means you can choose whether to leave the countertop wide open as a cooking prep space or expand it into an organizing space that generously holds dishes, according to your sink situation at any moment.
