As with NOIR CUSHION, 3 options—WATER-DROP COZY, EASY-CARE NOBLE, and WATER-DROP VELVET—may be placed together^[3]. The words that follow differ by fabric, but the prefix is always one of 2.

What the WATER-DROP side does is relatively clear. The descriptions for WATER-DROP DOWNY on both TIMELESS BED and SEREN SOFA state that it has water repellency where water and oil bead up on the surface, but does not have the function to easily manage contamination or scribbles, distinguishing between the 2^[4][5]. Generally, water repellency and stain resistance are different treatments — water repellency slows down the speed at which liquid permeates, so if it stays for a long time it eventually goes inside, while stain resistance helps already attached stains come off easily. Therefore, on water-repellent fabrics, it is better to absorb liquid by pressing with a dry cloth immediately after spilling, and rubbing will actually widen the mark.
