Is the Hannam-dong showroom still in the location where the brand originally started?
While trying to visit the flagship store of the brand founded in 2011, I noticed that the old store location and the current address were different, which made me curious about the history of the space before visiting.
While staying in the same Hannam-dong neighborhood, it relocated from where it opened its first store toward a nearby coffee shop to expand the space.
The place where you encounter the showroom is a winding alley off Daesagwan-ro.
MONDAY EDITION's only offline showroom is located in this winding alley[1]. MONDAY EDITION is a contemporary jewelry brand that started in Hannam-dong, Seoul, in 2011[2].
It was not in the current building from the beginning. Originally, it opened its first store where the dessert cafe On Ne Sait Jamais used to be, and later expanded and moved toward Peer Coffee[3]. The currently operating Hannam-dong flagship store is open on the 1st floor of 57 Daesagwan-ro 11-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul[4].
hmmm, instead of leaving for other busy commercial districts, it has steadily expanded its steps within the alley where the brand started.
The exact year and time of the expansion and relocation from the first store to the current flagship store have not yet been confirmed.
