What is the difference between the early model of The Mixed Pearl Necklace and the product available now?
It is the same necklace, but the descriptions of the pearl type differ, which is confusing. I would like to know how the pearl materials of the previous version and the current product differ.
The Mixed Pearl Necklace was initially introduced with freshwater pearls, but the product currently on sale is a version made using crystal pearls[1].
When first released, MONDAY EDITION's The Mixed Pearl Necklace used naturally sourced freshwater pearls[2]. The product available now consists of crystal pearls made with a circular crystal core as a base[3].
The properties of the beads differ. Freshwater pearls grow inside mussels, so the shape and surface texture of each bead vary slightly, and they give off a subtle luster. On the other hand, crystal pearls are a material where a pearlescent coating is applied over a glass crystal bead, so their shapes are uniform and their surface luster remains consistent. Instead of irregular natural textures, even and smooth spherical pearls have been used.

We have not yet confirmed whether the change in pearl material also brought changes to the necklace's total length or chain finishing method.
