The size error numbers are written differently for each item of clothing; what is the standard?

MOONDAL's size guide notices are not unified into one. It is a single line placed in the same spot, but the numbers change depending on the product.

The most frequently seen notice states that there may be a difference of 1-2cm depending on the measurement method^[1]. For some items, an additional line is added stating that the error in actual measurements may differ by color^[2]. When it comes to knitwear, the range widens. For some knitwear, it allows 2-3cm^[3], and for some knitwear, up to 3-4cm^[4]. Because knitted fabrics are made by interlacing yarns and stretch depending on the pulling force, even when measuring the same piece of clothing, the value easily differs depending on the person measuring it.

There is also a line of a different nature. For the Raw Crumple Top in Charcoal, instead of mentioning measurements, a notice is added stating that due to the characteristics of the process, there may be a deviation of around 1-3cm for each individual piece^[5].

hmmm, while the former numbers represent the range of how the ruler is placed, the last line means that the clothes themselves may differ from one another, so even though it is the same cm notation, the direction of reading it is the opposite. When referring to actual measurements, the general method is to spread the garment on a flat floor and measure it without pulling, and for stretchy materials like knitwear, it is safer to compare them with clothes you already own.
