Can I press the pump of shampoo stored in the hanging basket while it is still hanging?

Storage is hung in the air, and pumping is done on the floor. Kajidonya's hanging basket is an item meant to be hung on a bathroom drying rack or towel bar to keep containers off the floor^[1]. However, if you press down on a shampoo or body wash pump from above while the basket is hanging, the basket may fall or the steel wires may be damaged^[2]. When using pump-type containers, you must place the basket on the floor or take only the container out before pressing to prevent product damage^[3].

This is because there is a limit to the structure's ability to withstand downward weight. While you can connect up to two baskets by hooking the same basket underneath^[4], connecting three or more is not recommended due to concerns over product damage^[5]. The included cushion rubber is also a component intended to protect tiles or wallpaper when the basket sways back and forth^[6].

hmmm, rather than a shelf meant for resting your hand on and applying force, this basket is closer to a ventilated holder that keeps things off the floor so they drain well and dry.
