If the tabletop of the Ara table gets scratched or broken, can only the glass be replaced separately?
When using glass-top furniture, people often wonder whether only the glass can be swapped out if it gets scratched or breaks. This question aims to check beforehand if the tabletop can be partially repaired before making a purchase decision.
Because the Ara table is an integrated type where the tempered glass is completely attached to the lower wooden tabletop, the glass panel cannot be detached and replaced separately.
When facing the table, the first place you touch is the transparent surface of the tabletop. The Ara table from JACKSON CHAMELEON uses ultra-clear tempered glass with reduced iron content to diminish the bluish tint found in regular tempered glass[1]. Beneath the transparent glass surface lies a tabletop board made of layered MDF and plywood, and the legs firmly support it with wood and steel without wobbling[2].
It does not separate. The glass of this table is completed while firmly adhered to the lower wooden tabletop[3]. Unlike glass that is merely laid on top, it has the advantage of not slipping during use or letting foreign substances get into gaps, but even if the surface is damaged, you cannot detach and replace only the glass panel[4]. Since the entire tabletop is united as a single body, it is safer to use it carefully so that corner impacts or localized strong pressure are not applied.

The after-sales service (AS) cost or procedure for replacing the entire tabletop module if the tabletop glass is damaged has not yet been confirmed.
